Walking Grade: Goat 2 – we will be following in the footsteps of the Sound of Music. There will be hikes, palace visits, boat rides, train rides. All to give you the WalkingWomen Sound of Music experience. This is a very varied trip and if you prefer to join to be part of it without the big hikes that is fine too.

Base: we are staying in 2 hotels
Friday and Saturday : Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron, Salzburg – a palace. Of course a special place as it is where Maria became Governess to the Von Trapp family. It was central to Sound of Music Movie and we are delighted to stay here.
Sunday to Wednesday: Vogl`s Nest on Lake Fuschlee – family run and a retreat for those seeking enjoyment and relaxation. A sauna,heated stone pool and direct access to the crystal clear lake. Also hiking , cycling (use of electric bikes at the hotel ) and golf. A few days to enjoy being together in nature.
Arrivals: Friday May 7th – 14.00 Meet up at our hotel in Salzburg to give time to check in, settle in and have an orientation walk before our welcome evening.
We expect many to be travelling by train and we will pick up in Salzburg at the train station from 13.30.
If you arrive in Munich there is a wonderful train journey directly from Munich to Salzburg in 1-2 hours depending on the train. Trains are an excellent way to travel in this area and there are connecting trains to Innsbruck, Zurich or Munich. We can help with travel arrangements and extending your trip to spend more time in Austria, Switzerland or travelling around Europe.

Departures: Wednesday May 12th depart after breakfast at 10am.
We will arrange transfers back to Salburg train station and Innsbruck airport .
Price: £2,100 for this unique, fully inclusive and immersive experience.
If you share a room the price is £1700 per person – we will update your invoice on booking and paying your £200 deposit.
