Getting to & from your WalkingWomen holiday

Travel to the start of the holiday is arranged by you. Our holidays start from the arrival point at your destination. We let you know what time to arrive in our holiday information on our website and in the travel packs we provide once you have booked.

Many of our guests like to make their own travel arrangements or extend their holiday to visit friends or spend longer somewhere. If you need help with flights or extensions just ask WalkingWomen and we will do what we can to help. We have discounts with some hotels and our local guides can make many recommendations. You can check out some recommended hotels on our website.

HOWEVER – PLEASE DON’T BOOK TRAVEL UNTIL WE GIVE YOU THE ALL CLEAR – WE HAVE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS BOOKING FOR THE TRIP TO GO AHEAD.

Group Transfers

A Group Transfer is included in many of our abroad trips.

To facilitate group transfers please do try to arrive as close as possible to the arrival times stated on our website. We will do our best to limit waiting times at pick up points and will group as many people together as possible. We do this to limit the number of journeys and therefore reduce our environmental impact. Please be aware that the wait for the group transfer may be up to 1.5 hours to facilitate this. If you wish to coordinate arrival times with your group before booking flights, just let us know and we will put you in touch.

Passports & Visas

Passports

We have travellers coming from all over the world with different regulations for passports and visas. Please check what you need to travel to your destination – so that your trip starts smoothly.

If you are a UK Passport holder, rules have changed since Brexit. Your passport must be issued less than 10 years before the date you enter the country. This means if you travel in 20256 it must have been issued 2016 or later. Check the date of issue.

Your passport also must be valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave so check the date of expiry. UK Passport holders can check what they need here (GOV.UK TRAVEL ADVICE) and apply for a new passport / renew an existing one here.
Make sure you do so in good time!

Visas

Please check if you need a visa for your trip, you can check on this website here for nationals of any country.

Travel Insurance

Insurance is mandatory

Adequate travel insurance is mandatory for all our overseas holidays and is a condition of booking.
We ask you to provide the name of your insurance company and the policy number on your details form when you book. It should include protection in case you are ill or have to cancel for other reasons, even on UK holidays. If you choose to travel without adequate insurance cover we will not be liable for any losses.
